Fire Hydrant Painting Team (Anaheim)
You will be cleaning, prepping and painting City of Anaheim Fire Hydrants in neighborhoods in and around Twila Reid Park and Western High in West Anaheim.
Library Dust Book Shelves (Brea)
Dust and clean book shelves throughout the public or school libraries.
Blanket Making for Seniors (Brea)
Volunteers will assist by cutting and tying fleece material together to create warm blankets for seniors in our community.
Community Baby Shower (Ceres)
Community Baby Shower will take place on April 21st from 10am-12pm at Ceres Partnership. This event welcomes all expecting mothers and fathers into motherhood and fatherhood and provides them with a lunch, cake, prizes and a day full of education and fun. Accepted donations include: diapers, wipes, new clothing, new blankets, formula, baby care products or monetary donations.
Community Garden (Delhi)
This crew will renew our 2 acres of community garden. Pull dripline, pull weeds, etc. An exciting project! Come back and plant your plot of ground when the garden gets started.
School Bus Washing (Escalon)
Bus washing for the Escalon Unified School District. Soap and brushes will be provided.
Blood Drive (Fullerton)
This year we are partnering with Donate Life, CSUF and Red Cross. They are hosting a blood drive at California State Fullerton (CSUF) from 7:00am- 1:00pm. CSUF is allowing us to park our bloodmobile at their Donate Life event. Red Cross would like to extend the blood drive invite to our Love Fullerton participants.
Mother’s Day Cards for Foster Moms (Fullerton)
Make sweet notes of love, gratitude and encouragement for mothers of foster children.
Holidays for Heroes (Madera)
Holidays for Heroes is gives us an opportunity to send a Christmas Card to military installations and veterans hospitals. Each year the cards are collected between October and December and then distributed to military personnel and their families.
Graffiti Covering (Manteca)
We will be leading a mobile team spray painting over graffiti on business dumpsters. The City of Manteca has requested a small team to take cans of spray paint and rollers. Let’s tag the tagging!
Chemo Crew Kits (Modesto)
The Chemo Crew’s mission is to offer hope and help to local cancer patients and there families. We do this in many ways, but one of the most effective ways is with our chemo kits. We will be putting together our Chemo Kits and prepping materials that will be put in our kits, making encouragement cards to go in the kits, and binding booklets that go in the kits.
Emancipated Youth (Modesto)
Every year in California, an estimated 4,000 youth transition from dependents of the foster care system into emancipated adulthood between the ages of 18 - 21. The emancipated youth are usually left to transition with few resources, if any at all. Each year, Love Modesto collaborates with Stanislaus County’s After 18 Program and other community participants on a project to deliver groceries and encouragement to former and extended care foster youth, many who are single parents, located right here in Modesto!
Teddy Bears for Kids (Modesto)
Traumatized children are usually frightened and insecure when their normal lives are falling apart. They are in dire need of comfort and to feel safe. First responders, when they have the resources, can provide these children with a Teddy Bear that they can keep for their very own. Teddy Bears, stuffed and finished off with a ribbon for First Responders to give to children who are accident & fire victims, who need to be removed to a protective environment, or otherwise traumatized.
Sign Solutions (Modesto)
Annoyed with those ugly old signs that are nailed and taped to light poles and utility poles? The Modesto police explorer Program would like to be part of the sign solution. We would be focusing on taking down signs from light poles. We would also focus on taking down yard sale signs from light poles and street signs. This signs give a bad look to our city and we will focus on making sure this signs are taken down.
Oakdale Museum (Oakdale)
Plant flowers in planter bed (provided), Plant flowers in planter bed around porch (provided), Remove old foliage and plant new (provided) and Relocate school cornerstone (adults only) Materials needed: trash bags, gardening tools (gloves, shovels, kneepad, rake)
Wash Police and City Cars (Placentia)
Washing and drying community service vehicles. Family friendly activity and all supplies provided.
Bethany Home Music Recital (Ripon)
We will be entertaining and socializing with these special seniors at Bethany Home. If you have a special talent that you would like to perform please sign up and notify us at info.loveripon@gmail.com. We will be giving flowers to each Bethany Home resident who comes to the recital. The BH residents are being encourage to share their musical talents as well and will be mixed into with the Love Ripon volunteers. This should be a fun event for all who attend.
Sand and Paint Community Pool Sign Posts (Riverbank)
We will be taking a team to the community center park right after the Rally. The project entails sanding and repainting the pool signs.
Haircuts for Kids (Salida)
We need people who have experience in giving hair cuts. We will be providing haircuts for kids in the park for families who need it. We will have a generator in the park and chairs and tables. Bring your hair cutting equipment and a big heart to love on our kids.
Cover the Valley with Kindness (Snoqualmie Valley)
Let’s cover this Valley in Kindness! Together, we’ll take “acts of kindness flyers” to local businesses throughout the valley and demonstrate kindness by passing out treats along the way. This idea came from Chip & Joanna Gaines https://magnolia.com/we-believe-in-human-kindness/.
Fun and Games with the Elderly (Turlock)
Due to the wild popularity of this project last year, we are bringing it back for this year! This project will take place at Elness Convalescent Hospital on W. Main St. We need lots of volunteers of all ages who will have a blast making arts and crafts with the elderly residents, playing BINGO with them and even enjoying some music together! Volunteering for this project is an easy way to bring a lot of joy to some wonderful people.
Underpass Clean Up (Turlock)
Join us as we beautify our city and spread hope by doing some clean up! We will be cleaning up trash under the S. Golden State Blvd overpass where South 1st Street starts. This area is in major need of clean up and we need your help! Volunteers are encouraged to wear bright clothing for visibility. If you have them, please bring gloves and other clean up tools such as grabbers, shovels or rakes.
Lawn Services (Waterford)
Get active by signing up to GIVE HELP with lawn maintenance for a single mother, a senior citizen, or a family impacted by sickness in your neighborhood.
Painting Nails (Whittier)
Come spend time with and paint the nails of the female residents at Posada Assisted Living.
