Emailing & Texting

Through your admin portal, you can send basic emails and text messages to your contacts who have supplied an email and/or a phone number (and consented to receive text messages).

To compose a message, head to "All Contacts" and click the "Send" dropdown in the top right of the table.

Sending a Message

You can select your audience, specify your message, and even send a test message to yoruself.

  • All Contacts - Everyone in your system

  • Registered Volunteers - Anyone registered for your upcoming event.

  • Leaders - Anyone assigned as a project leader

  • Individual - Allows you to select an individual to message

Texting your Contacts: Texting is free... but it has limitations! Your message has to be short and to the point. We can only text individuals who have supplied a cellphone carrier and given consent, so not ALL your contacts will receive a text message from this option. If you want to send a text no matter what, we recommend a third-party text-messaging system.

Verified Contacts

The system is helping to verify email and phone numbers when a user creates their account. You will see a green check-mark for any user who has gone through the steps of verification. That means they have supplied us with an email or phone number and have received communication with a verificaiton code. These are the trusted contacts we know are getting your messages.
