Events are what all projects are assigned to - think you one day volunteer day event! If you don't have an event created, you cannot move forward, so let's start here!
Head to your admin portal link (e.g. admin.yourcitieslinkhere.org/com/net) and login.
Navigate to your "Event" page in the "Manage Projects" menu selection (as seen below)
Click the "+" button and create your first event, then click update
Now that we have added an event, we can add a project.
Head to the Projects page (e.g. admin.loveourcities.org/Manage-Projects/Projects)
Click the "+" button and create your first project.
The Title, Address fields, and duration are required fields. Other than that, you can always come back later and edit your settings.
Now you can set your "Status" for the project. A "Draft" will not publically display the project on your front-end website. Once you are satisfied, you can publish your project anytime and it will be on display on your front-end website (for all to see!)
The projects page has a lot of options to choose from to help manage your projects.
"Magnifying glass" links to the project view page with all the details, volunteers, and more for that specific project.
"Star" - Toggles on/off to "feature" a project on your main site. This is utilized in the front-end website module: "Featured Projects" which pulls three featured projects and displays them accordingly. If you have a different module selected on your front-end, this feature will not matter.
A featured project will have a red background with a white star.
"Look" - Toggles the status of a project between "Draft" and "Published".
If a project is published and this button is clicked, it will have you confirm before it unpublishes the listing from your website.
"pencil and notepad" - Opens the edit project pop-up form to quickly edit all the details associated with the project listing (date, location, description, etc).
This will copy the project's information and open up the edit project pop-up. When you click save, it will create and add a new project to your project list.
Removes the project completely from your listing. This cannot be undone! Proceed with caution, but don't worry, it will have you confirm before it deletes your project.
This page has lots of information about your project and access to your admin buttons on the left below your project image.
There are three new action buttons you can access here:
